Real projects. Real outcomes.
What Sets Us Apart
Every engagement is different, but the approach is the same: understand the need, design a process people trust, and deliver something the team can actually use. Here's a sample of recent work.
Distributing $10.5M with community at the table
Colorado Department of Human Services — Tony Grampsas Youth Services
The Colorado Department of Human Services needed to run a fair, transparent review of more than 200 applications competing for $10.5M in state youth crime and violence prevention funds. I led the full RFP review process: recruiting, training, and supporting 40 diverse reviewers — including youth, with 60% bringing lived experience, all paid for their time. The result was an efficient, defensible process that reviewers themselves described as collaborative and transparent, and that put community voice at the center of a major state funding decision.
A strategic framework for a GROWING organization
Office of the Alternate Defense Counsel
OADC had grown from 15 to 40 employees in under two years — and its structure hadn't kept up. Through an all-staff survey, document review, 1:1 interviews, and a facilitated staff retreat, I built a new strategic framework with clear external goals and internal work streams, giving a rapidly growing organization a shared map for its next chapter.
We hold our work to high standards. We focus on sustainable results built on smart strategy and real insight.
A three-year early childhood plan built by the community
Weld County Early Childhood Council
In partnership with two other consultants, I helped the Weld County Early Childhood Council create a three-year early childhood plan grounded in what the community actually said it needed — through 1:1 interviews, focus groups, facilitated workshops, and document review. We follow through, meet deadlines, and show up when it matters. Consistency is part of our promise.
Supporting thOSE who support Colorado's youngest kids
Assuring Better Child Health & Development (ABCD)
Over a two-year project, I've supported Colorado Universal Preschool providers in implementing healthy development quality standards — delivering regular professional development and co-creating a learning collaborative for Spanish-speaking child care providers, coaching community leaders to deliver it themselves. I also conducted ABCD's needs assessment, designed a fee-for-service program model, facilitated the annual board retreat, and secured two grants.
